christmas 2008
christmas 2008, we thought we'rd do something different this year , a picnic by the river and what a day, very hot , but o so nice
Its been a while since we updated our site, but now we're playing catchup to get things up to date before our big "OE" in 6 weeks.
Apart from the occasional day away, we spent out first holiday together at Easter 2007. Steve had never been north of Rangiora (by road anyway). We decided on Kaikoura then over to Hanmer Springs We had a beautiful trip up to Kaikoura, leisurely due to the volume of traffic. We visited a couple of wineries of course.
The coastal scenery around Kaikoura is stunning. Its been many years since I was there and I was surprised at how its gone ahead. Would have been nice to see a whale swimming by but not to be.

A Starting Point
I love this photo of Steve and I. It was taken in Dunedin in October 2004 at the wedding of Steve's sister. We had been together since 2001 but it seemed to me the first 'family occasion' where I had been part of Steve's very welcoming family. It was a wonderfully happy and family day. PS The bride looked beautiful.
